A few weeks ago Alan Gallagher (a neighbour of Steve Clarke and myself) died in Holland, where he was staying with friends.
He was a former DSL (probably in the 80s). Some older members may remember him.
A Memorial Service is being held at St. Paul’s Church, Lancaster next Friday 21st August at 2.30 pm.
This will be followed by refreshments at Lancaster Golf Club.

Alan was a District Scout Leader, along with Jim Holland and myself, in the 1980’s, as mentioned by Ray, working with Geoff Westwood who was the ADC Scouts at the time. We planned numerous exciting events and courses for the section over a period of years. Happy times!
