Appointment of Group Scout Leader – 1st Carnforth Scout Group
I am delighted to announce that I have appointed Rebecca Parker as the new Group Scout Leader at 1st Carnforth Scout Group effective immediately. Rebecca will be known to all you, initially as the Group Treasurer, before becoming the Assistant Group Scout Leader, and Scout Leader- which under her leadership has grown in size, and enjoyed great success, with the first Scouts in many, many years achieving their Chief Scout Gold Awards. Rebecca has the energy, enthusiasm and commitment to take the Group forward and build on the many successes.
I’d also like to thank Ian McGrath, for his leadership of the group as Group Scout Leader over the past few years. He leaves the Group in a strong position with exciting plans for the future.
In the coming weeks I will meet with Rebecca to discuss priorities for the Group in the coming year. The District Team stand ready to help in any way possible.
1st Carnforth continues to go from strength to strength, and is in a very strong position to move forward, there
is a dedicated team of adults offering young people wonderful opportunities. I’d like to take this opportunity to
thank you for all that you do, and encourage you to continue to work together, to support Rebecca, to grow the
group and offer more exciting opportunities to young people and adults in Carnforth.
Finally, I’d like to wish you all the very best for 2017.
