Scouts Party

Only Morecambe boy to win the Carnwell (sic) Scout Award, Stanley Baxter was present at the annual party of the 1st Morecambe Scout Troop on Saturday night.
During the evening a telephone message was received from the President (Mr. Ernest Binns) apologising for being unable to attend owing to illness.
The vice-president (Coun. W. Gardner) and the troop’s chaplain (Rev. David Ll Jones) and Miss Vincent an evacuated civil servant (who was a cub-mistress in Plymouth) were also present.
A large number of cubs, scouts, parents and friends spent an enjoyable time playing games.
Scouters were responsible for the arrangements.
