Camping:
The Main Field: This is ideal for camping with larger numbers, or two smaller shared camps.
It is also suitable for team games or large group activities (e.g. Pioneering).
The Floodplain: This is near to the beck and is large enough for Troop or Pack Camps.
The Millrace: The camping area is also near the beck and is suitable for small Troop or Pack Camps.
The Top Field: The camping area is suitable for one large camp or two small camps with enough space left for team games or activities.
Silver Birch: The area is large enough for Troop or Pack Camps.
Additional Camp cooking options:
There is often the option to hire just the kitchen facilities of “Long Panther” Lodge. This can make larger camps much easier to cater for.
There is also an electric hook-up point on the edge of the Main Field camping area that can be hired for a very small charge.
Toilets:
The toilet block (refurbished 2020) with hot showers is available for groups that are camping. There are toilets available for wheelchair users.
There is also a small, basic, toilet block onsite between the Top Field and Silver Birch camping areas.
Wet Weather Shelter:
The barn is open sided and was part of the old mill complex.
It is a multi-purpose area for wet weather activities.
It is open for all to use, both campers and groups using “Long Panther” Lodge.
